The PROAD program of the CSD and IMMUNE Technology Institute promote the training of athletes in the field of new technologies

• The agreement will allow our and our High Level and High Performance athletes to study cybersecurity, data science and artificial intelligence with the aim of improving their training for their job placement.

Madrid, March 16, 2022. The PRogram of Attention to the High Level Athlete (PROAD) of the Superior Sports Council (CSD) and the entity generating talent in the technological sector IMMUNE have signed a ccollaboration agreement for the promotion of training in new technologies of the Spanish athletes with the objective of promoting their socio-labour insertionl.

Thanks to this agreement, high level athletes (DAN) and high performance (DAR) will be able to benefit from important discounts in the realization of training courses offered by this entity, in particular in studies related to cybersecurity, data science and artificial intelligence.

The collaboration between PROAD and IMMUNE will allow a series of special conditions in for athletes that include two scholarships at 100% and a 50% discount on the registration of the following masters and degrees offered by this training entity: Degree in Software Development Engineering (Computer Entrepreneurship Bachelor); Executive Master in Data Science; Executive Master in Cybersecurity; Online Master in Data Sciencie; Online Master in Cybersecurity; Bootcamp in Web Development; Bootcamp in UX/UI Design; Bootcamp in Data Analytics; Youth Programs.

In the presentation of this agreement and before a group of athletes interested in this type of training, the Secretary of State for Sport, José Manuel Franco, stressed the importance of initiatives such as this one that “strengthen the strength of the binomial sport and technology and emphasize the training development of our athletes”.

“The digital transformation of the sports sector is contemplated within the Transformation and Resilience Recovery Funds. Spain has been the only country in the EU that has incorporated sport as a tractor element of our economy to feed on recovery funds,” he said.

For José Manuel Franco, “from the CSD we conceive the career of these athletes as a dual career in which training is resumed as a guarantee element for their future socio-labour integration. With this vocation for the future, we have decided to strengthen PROAD from a fundamental area, technology. That is why I want to thank IMMUNE for its extensive training offer and the support of our athletes in the much needed digital training.”

“The technological revolution has come to sport and what better than to be able to count on talent at this stage with the dedication and example of our athletes,” he concluded.

For his part, the general director of IMMUNE, Ignacio Castillo, recalled the “great need for STEM professionals”, which has placed “about one and a half million jobs in technology” in the coming years. A situation that contrasts with the loss of “40% of students during the last years, with a level of abandonment close to 45%”.

"IMMUNE Institute was born with the vocation to redirect this gap that exists in the labor market and the education sector, through an offer that is, in our opinion, the most extensive that exists in the country. This includes not only curricular training but also transversal training throughout the life of the athlete," he said.

IMMUNE thus joins the network of collaborating entities of PROAD that offers advantageous conditions to the DAN in view of the development of their dual career and their training itinerary in view of future socio-labour integration.

Commitment for the integral attention to the athlete

The agreement signed today will soon be joined by new training initiatives for sportspeople within the framework of the PROAD program with various entities and projects. All these actions reflect the determined commitment of the CSD to promote PROAD within the framework of a policy of support and personalized integral attention to our athletes during their sports career so that it culminates in a successful integration in the job market.
