Rodríguez Uribes affirms the importance of sport tourism at Fitur

Madrid, 25 january 2024.-The president of the supreme council for sports (CSD), José Manuel Rodríguez Uribes has visited this morning the 44.º edition of the international tourism fair (Fitur), the biggest event of the tourist industry of spain, which this year looks forward to receiving more than 250,000 visits and 9,000 companies in the premises of IFEMA.
During its journey through differentstandsand fair halls, Rodríguez Uribes has claimed responsibility for the weight of sport in the national tourism and employment generation and wealth, emphasizing further the capacity of España to host and organize major international sport events.
It has done so, first, in thestandin castile-La Mancha, during this year, the title of European Region of sport, “ a framework for boosting everything to do with major events and to basic sport ”, according to the president of the CSD.
