Rodríguez Uribes receives a representation of soccer players from Legends Spain

The president of the CSD will attend on 23 March in Paiporta the solidarity event organized by this association in favour of football clubs affected by DANA

Madrid, 13 March 2025.- On Thursday, José Manuel Rodríguez Uribes, president of the Superior Council of Sports (CSD), received a representation of soccer players from the Legends España association.

This non-profit partnership aims to preserve and promote the legacy of footballers who have represented the national team and to promote sports values, such as fair play or teamwork. In addition, it promotes solidarity initiatives and develops activities of a social nature usually aimed at young people and children.

The meeting held at the CSD headquarters was attended by the international ones Salva Ballesta, Patxi Salinas, José Emilio Amávila, Miguel Ángel Ferrer ‘Mista’, Alfonso Pérez, Ricardo López, Antonio Álvarez ‘Ito’, Juanfran García, Manolo Sánchez, Sergio Asenjo and Carlos Marchena.

On March 23, Rodríguez Uribes will attend the solidarity event organized by Legends España for the football clubs affected by DANA.

This same Thursday, the Official State Gazette (BOE) publishes the call for aid, amounting to EUR 2 million, with which the CSD contributes to the repair, reconstruction and restitution of infrastructures, equipment or installations that have been affected by DANA and that are owned by private sports entities.

This aid may reach a maximum of EUR 100,000 per sport entity and shall be intended to cover the costs of the works to be carried out between 28 October 2024 and 31 December 2025 as a result of the damage caused by DANA.

The beneficiaries of this subsidy shall be private sports organisations included in the registers at state or regional level. Mainly, clubs and territorial federations that own infrastructures, equipment or sports facilities located in one of the 78 municipalities included in the annex to Royal Decree-Law 6/2024.
