Tortosa has been the fourth stop of the caravan of the week European sports
Madrid, 27 September 2018.- Tortosa (Tarragona) has welcomed today the fourth stop of the caravan of European week of sport in the square of the Auditorium Felip Pedrell, where children have been practicing basketball, hockey, rowing, handball, football, among other sports.
At the end of the day that has brought different sports to the streets of the town, have seen the mayor, Meritxell Roigé, Joe Martorell, deputy assistant director-general cabinet chairmanship of Higher Council of sports and Tape Espuny, territorial delegate of the Terres of Ebre of the General Secretariat of sport.
Meritxell Roig emphasised “ the confidence of CSD to link our city with the promotion of physical activity and sport, something that is fundamental in our policy local.
I also thank the involvement of clubs, this afternoon between week, which have brought their sports to the streets to make them known ”.
Joe Martorell has appreciated “ collaboration and involvement of cities where moving the caravan. Each input amount to promote sports, apart from the physical condition, age, ability, persons ”.
Finally, Tape Espuny has particularly appreciated the stop of the caravan because “ serves to promote physical activity and healthy habits in the entire population, adults, children and adolescents, ” he said.
