This wednesday begins the deadline for submitting nominations for the national awards of sport 2022, convened by the CSD
Coinciding with the spanish presidency of the eu council, in this edition includes, in addition to the thirteen categories, the trophy european union, which acknowledge the sportsman or entity of a member state which has excelled in its sports activities
Madrid, 18 october 2023.-The high council of sports (CSD) has convened the national awards of sport, for 2022, to distinguish athletes, associations, entities and those who have stressed in promoting and físico-deportiva activity during that year.
As is being issued inState gazette (BOE)it is an open call, so they can be nominated all those athletes, individuals, associations, institutions and other entities that are creditors, in the opinion of the proponents, sufficient merit to pursuing these National Awards.
As the main novelty, and by following this call during the spanish presidency of the eu council, the council for sports granted by the first timeTrophy European Unionthe athlete, entity, club or institution of a member state that has highlighted during the year in its activities físico-deportivas.
The deadline for nominations begins this wednesday, and will remain open until the next 8 november.
The proposals may be made, esportistes federats sports associations, sports federations, national and regional entities and private institutions, individuals or entities with some National Prize of sport in previous editions and by any organ of the public administration in the proposed model that is available inelectronic site CSD.
Subsequently, a jury, appointed by the presidency of the CSD, it will take into account the proposals and will select the winners. The awards ceremony National sport will be conducted in a solemn event in the coming months.
The awards set out are as follows:
- Premio Rey Felipeat the best spanish sportsman of the year.
- Premio Reina Letiziathe best spanish sportsman of the year.
- Premio Princesa Leonor, or better athlete male or female under 18 years.
- Premio Infanta Sofíathe person, entity or institution for having emphasised particularly in the sport of persons with disabilities, inclusive or paralympic sport or in its promotion.
- King Juan Carlos awardthe athlete, disclosure, male or female.
- Premio Reina Sofíafair play, and the eradication of violence (male chauvinism, racism, homophobia or any of its expressions) in sport.
- Trophy Ibero-American Community, to honour or to the ibero-american athlete, club entity or institution that has highlighted during the year in their sports activities.
- Trophy European Union,to reward the or the athlete, or the institution, club or institution of a member state of the european union that has highlighted during the year in their sports activities.
- Copa baron of Güellat the best equipment or selection of the year.
- Copa Stadium, a person or entity that are outstanding in the promotion of sport, especially of sport.
- Prize for sports Councilthe spanish local entity (municipality, province, island, region, communities, metropolitan areas, etc.) that has highlighted in the promotion of sport and physical activity.
- Trofeo Joaquín Blume, the university, School or educational level of any has been distinguished especially during the year for its promotion and encouragement of sport.
- National Prize to the arts and sciences applied to the Sportthe professional, or organization that are outstanding in the dissemination of the activity físico-deportiva.
- National Prize Francisco Fernández Ochoaa dedicated, career considerably, to the practice, organizing, directing, promotion and development of sport.
Alexia Putellas and Jon Rahm, between the past winners
The footballer Alexia Putellas golfers and Jon Rahm were two athletes awarded prizes national sport, in a gala held last april, makes for the delays caused by pandemia- the merits of 2021.
Among the winners of this edition also contained the climber, Alberto Ginés taekwondista Adriana Cerezo, the romanian Yulimar Rojas and handles Alberto Fernández and Fátima Gálvez.
All of them joined a list of winners are the names of Blanca Fernández Ochoa, Arantxa Sánchez Vicario, Gemma Mengual, Sandra Sánchez, Carlos Sainz, Miguel Indurain, Pau Gasol, Rafa Nadal, Saúl Craviotto and Ricky Rubio, among others.
