The CSD convenes the aid for research in sports science

Madrid, 27 may 2024.-The high council of sports (CSD) has convened the line of support for research networks in sports science, which may opt by 2024 public or private universities, and its subsidiaries, with the capacity and activity demonstrated in r & D.

The amount of aid for this year amounts to €260,000 of whom 200,000 euros will be for public universities and 60,000 for scientific support to sports and related activities of private institutions. The deadline for submission of requests expires on 14 june 2024.

With the financing of research networks in sports science should help to facilitate the participating groups enable them to execute actions aimed at strategic planning actions future scientific and technological, perform functions of scientific advice, establishing forums for exchange of knowledge and detection of opportunities and to promote advocacy and strategic positioning in international projects and programmes and contribute to the progress of the spanish research science in physical activity and sport.

They will have priority interest to the granting of aid investigations relating to sports training, such as the prevention and rehabilitation of injuries in competition técnico-táctico advanced analysis and proposals for improvement for the advancement of sport.

Also included metric work kinematics, physiological and tactics in sport, psychological training programmes, automatic learning sports performance and evolution of sports equipment and devices for improving performance, control systems in decision-making in sports activities or parameterisation biomechanics competition in the sports performance.

In the area of physical activity and health, will have priority research on the influence of physical activity beneficial in chronic noncommunicable diseases, in the prevention of workplace risks, active ageing for the prevention of the unit and the sudden death or the influence of physical exercise on the psychological, among other subjects.

Lastly, priority will also be other issues of special relevance, such as science and collaborative citizen in the exchange and generation of knowledge in sport, new technologies applied to different areas of science of physical activity and sport, the economic impact of the class sport or aficionados, environment, equality and inclusion, among others.

On the networks of research in sports science

Research networks in sports science are intended to promote complementarity of resources and capacities of existing research among research groups and various institutions and thus contribute to the creation of synergies of networks in strategic areas and novel on the whole system deportivo español.

Research networks are aimed at the creation and dynamisation of thematic networks formed by researchers in the same or similar thematic Area of knowledge, as well as by researchers with common goals that require a blended approach.
