The CSD welcomes the Spanish team that won as host the FIA Motorsport Games

The Council contributed EUR 500,000 to the organisation of this event, which brought together in Valencia 1,000 pilots from 86 countries
  • Last October, Antonio Rodríguez’s team in the Valencian Community was one of the best episodes of Spanish motorsport, with the conquest of 18 medals and absolute victory.

 

Madrid, April 29, 2025.- The Director General of Sports, Fernando Molinero, received on Tuesday at the headquarters of the Superior Council of Sports (CSD) a representation of the Spanish team that last October won as host, in the Valencian Community, the FIA Motorsport Games.

In that event, with the absolute victory and the conquest of 18 medals, the national team starred one of the best episodes in the history of Spanish motorsport, as recognized today by the Director General of Sports.

The meeting was attended by the president of the Real Federación Española de Automobilismo (RFEDA), Manuel Aviñó, and the pilots Hugo Fuerte, Sergi Pérez, Alejandro Cachón, Iván Velasco, Antonio Sainz, Alberto Iglesias, Fernando Navarrete and José Antonio Suárez, representing the entire team.

Aviñó thanked the CSD for its involvement in the organization and success of this sport event, which brought together nearly 1,000 pilots from 86 countries. The CSD awarded the RFEDA a grant of EUR 500,000 in 2024 for the holding of this competition.

During the meeting, Fernando Molinero reaffirmed the CSD’s commitment to the organization in our country of major sports events, such as the FIA Motorsport Games, and encouraged Spanish pilots to look for another great result in the next edition.
