Working session between Rodríguez Uribes and secretary of State for sport of Portugal, Pedro Dias

The world cup 2030 and the european handball of 2028 have been some of the topics addressed by both leaders

Madrid, 11 june 2024.-The president of the supreme council for sports (CSD), José Manuel Rodríguez Uribes, has kept this tuesday at the agency's headquarters a working meeting with Pedro Dias, secretary of state for sport of the government of Portugal. This event is part of the strategy of cooperation between Spain and Portugal in sport and continues to meet a few weeks ago in Brussels, in the framework of the Sports ministers of the european Union.

Topics included the design of the joint bid of Portugal, spain and Morocco to the football world cup in 2030. Yesterday was held in Las Rozas a meeting between the representation commission, standardization and Monitoring, chaired by Vicente del Bosque; representatives of the CSD and the committee of the Candidature for the world cup 2030, of which was reported by the secretary of State for sport portuguese. At this critical phase for the design of the nomination, will continue further meetings.

In addition, Pedro Dias has been interested in the future of the Strategic Plan 2024-2032 CSD, the broad outlines of which has outlined José Manuel Rodríguez Uribes during this meeting.
