The CSD announces the first grants of the year to Federations to promote women's sport

The Budgets provide the CSD with 15 million euros this year for actions in favor of women’s equality

Madrid, 28 January 2021.- The Higher Sports Council (CSD) has opened the deadline for the Spanish Sports Federations to apply for grants for those actions aimed at promoting, facilitating and increasing female participation in all areas of sport in 2021.

The resolution signed by the president of the CSD, Irene Lozano, published today in the BOE, establishes an amount of up to 840,000 euros for the Women and Sport Program. In this way, the Spanish Sports Federations may request aid for those of their initiatives and actions whose purpose is the promotion and dissemination of women in sport, training, the displacement of techniques, judges and federal personnel, the preparation of Equality Plans and, finally, for new hires. The deadline for submitting applications will be 15 working days starting tomorrow, 29 January.

“Support for women’s sport is one of the Council’s key areas of action. This year, thanks to the new Budgets, we will have EUR 15 million for its promotion and promotion, between the usual chapters and European funds. These grants for Women and Sport are just one of the many initiatives that we will be launching from this house in the coming months,” said President Irene Lozano.
