The CSD announces loans to the Spanish Sports Federations for the sanitation of their accounts

The Higher Sports Council may grant loans up to a maximum total amount of 600,000 euros, with a repayment period of 5 years and a maximum absence period of two years.
Madrid, July 14, 2025.- The Superior Sports Council (CSD) has called for the granting of loans to Spanish Sports Federations in 2025, as published in the Official State Gazette (BOE) on July 11.
The purpose of these loans, which will be granted on the basis of transparency, publicity, objectivity and competitive competition, is to support the financing of operations and measures to improve the economic situation of the federations.
This includes plans already started that have been financed by credit institutions or banks and that are in a situation of consolidated loans, or that having been financed with their own funds represent a significant burden on the balance sheet of the federation.
For this purpose, the CSD will grant loans up to a maximum total amount of 600,000 euros, with a repayment period of five years (60 months) and a maximum absence period of 24 months.
The payment of the amortization and interest fees shall be made by means of a single payment on an annual basis, with an interest rate equivalent to the average rate of the debt issued by the State in instruments with a maturity similar to that of the loan.
As for the differences with previous loans called by the CSD, it should be noted that, on this occasion, federations that have some live loan with the Higher Sports Council cannot opt. In addition, the CSD may intervene in the payments made by the federation with the amount of the loan, as provided for in the new Sports Law.
Applications can be submitted until next Wednesday, July 23, through the CSD Electronic Headquarters.
