The CSD, the COE and CHANNEL agree to extending the PIPE to the year 2021
- This ensures security and stability of athletes who have been affected by the extension of the olympic games in Tokyo 2020 after the health crisis COVID-19
Madrid, 30 december 2020.The high council of sports (CSD), the Spanish Olympic Committee (COE), and Radio Televisión Española (STUDIO) have agreed to the extension of the scheme ADO until 2021 with the aim of ensuring its continuity throughout the olympic cycle that has been altered as a result of a pandemic COVID-19.
De esta manera se garantiza la seguridad y la estabilidad de los deportistas que estaban preparando su participación en los Juegos Olímpicos de Tokio 2020 y que tras su aplazamiento se encontraban en una situación de incertidumbre. Con la ampliación del Plan ADO se aseguran los recursos necesarios para que puedan continuar con sus entrenamientos en las mejores condiciones.
The desire for agreement on all sides have enabled this programme, which was established at source for the period of 2017-2020, be extended for another year allowing to continue to count on the financing of the sponsors and partners. The Plan ADO is considered Event of exceptional Public Interest (AEIP), which enables companies to adhere to benefit from tax breaks of up to 90 per cent, in accordance with the law of the tax regime in the non-profit entities and tax incentives to patronage.
