Madrid, 5 july 2023.- The high council of sports (CSD) has launched two new calls for aid to boost the digitization of sports federations in the spanish national sport, as has been published this wednesday in the official gazette (BOE).

The first line of aid, eur 5 million, provides for thedigitalisation of trainingand identification of talent, through the acquisition of necessary technical equipment to improve monitoring, analysis and management of sports. this way, the federations alike new tools to optimize the planning and athletic performance, as well as promoting research and innovation in the sports sector. All this, building on the potential of analytics -Big Data- and Artificial intelligence connected to intelligent sensors.

This line, through the digitization axis of the Plan for the promotion of sports -Componente 26 of the recovery Plan, transformation and Resilience (PRTR) -, will cover, inter alia, the acquisition, implementation and maintenance of hardware and software, audio-visual equipment, data storage, payment for software licences, training for the correct use of such equipment and consultancy services.

For the secretary of State, with these public investments “ España is at the forefront of the digitization of sport and the implementation of new technologies to improve athletic performance ”. “ Soon we will see the results ”, has promised.

The projects submitted by the federations have a maximum budget up to 300,000 euros, which will cover the proceedings carried out between 1 january 2021 and 31 december 2023, provided they are not completed at the time of making the request.

Digitization of the management of federations

A second call of the CSD, with a sum of €4.880.000, is aimed at the digitization and modernization of theeconómico-administrativos management processesof the sports federations.

Will cover, inter alia, investment for the improvement of the Internet presence of federations, through the optimization of their websites and social networks; the implementation of tools and applications for improving the economic and administrative processes (CRM, ERP), such as the management of high and federal licences; your digital marketing tools to optimize the sale of tickets for sports competitions; applications business intelligence solutions; and cybersecurity, among others.

Like the previous convocation, funded wholly or partly, the actions carried out between 1 january 2021 and 31 december 2023, provided that they are not completed when the request.

CSD + i will contribute to the transformation of the high performance centres, with a platform for interaction with a lake and a standing CRM with the aim of consolidating, connect and create relationships between the actors of spanish sport.
