The CSD participates in the project ALL IN- “Towards gender balance in sport ” of the board of Europa and HAT. An analysis of gender equality in sport

Madrid, 04 March 2019.-The High Council of sports participates in the project ALL IN- “Towards gender balance in sport ” pushed together by the council of Europe and the European Union. The goal is to promote equality between men and women in the field of sport through an analysis in all European countries.




For this, since the CSD has been sent to all federations a survey on the situation of equality in six key areas such as the leadership in decision-making positions of sports organisations, the existence of coaches and judges, the sports participation from sport basis until the elite, the prevention of gender violence in sport, the treatment of gender equality in the media, and plans and programmes that promote gender mainstreaming in sport. The Secretary of state for sport, María José Free, has instructed all Spanish sports federations -olímpicas and not olímpicas- the importance of your collaboration in this project.




The Superior Council of sports, through the General Office woman and sport, will oversee the proper development of this program, which will provide essential information that will reveal the current reality, monitor progress and comparisons between countries, as well as to facilitate the design of policies that promote gender equality in sport.
