The CSD receives 151 input to the Preliminary Draft of the sport act
Madrid, 02 april 2019.The high council of sports (CSD) has received a total of 151 input to the Preliminary Draft of the sport act during the period of hearing and public information that was concluded last five-march.
Different actors of sport have participated in this process, which was expanded in a week at the request of the majority of them. In particular, the CSD has reflected contributions from national sports federations and associations of the autonomous communities, athletes, autonomous communities and the spanish federation of municipalities and provinces (FEMP). Also, several sporting bodies have also been sending its contributions, as is the case of the Spanish Sports association (ADESP), the association of Spanish Professional Leagues, the Spanish Olympic Committee (COE), or the Spanish Paralympic Committee (CPE).
Also involved other groups like the federation of sports Managers of spain (FAGDE), official secondary schools of physical education and sports of Spain (Council COLEF), different professional leagues, as well as numerous personalized.
Most of the inputs received reflected different points of view regarding the articles that make up the preliminary draft, although there are also focused on making proposals for the inclusion of different areas.
New round of meetings
From now on, the CSD will proceed to make a management and in-depth study of all contributions received and then start a new round of meetings with the objective of achieving a final text that will garner the widest possible consensus.
For the president of the council for sports, María José Rienda, since the CSD “ continue to be taking the steps necessary for the elaboration of an act of sport that enjoys maximum participation and contributions of all actors concerned ”.
“ This Law is a priority and we wanted to be sensitive to the concerns and needs expressed by various actors of spanish sport. Now, we will continue to work with transparency and accountability for achieving the broadest possible consensus. Our sport needs updated a regulatory framework and progress in areas such as gender equality, the sport inclusive governance, federations and coordination with the autonomous communities, inter alia ”, has added Rienda.
