Query the agenda of the day "Sport Operates"

Madrid, 02 December 2019. Within the framework of the 25th Climate summit (COP25) held in Madrid until 13 December, the High Council of sports (CSD) has organized for this Thursday 5 December, the “ Sport acts ” which will analyse the commitment of sport with the protection of the environment.

The event, which will take place in the National Archeological Museum (Madrid), aims to the exchange of knowledge between professionals and agents in the world of sport, associated companies, institutions and civil society to channel sports towards sustainable development and respectful with the environment.

Throughout this time will be open different experiences of sports companies committed to sustainability and some projects and successful cases organization of sporting events with environmental responsibility. Furthermore, connections will be established to build new alliances in the field of sport and sustainability.

The opening of this day (9.30 a.m.) will be the responsibility of the president of CSD and secretary of state for sport, María José Free. After it, will begin the paper “ Green Agenda of the associated companies to sport ” involving Iberdrola, Telefónica and Ingesport. then, the association of sport English (ADESP) will present the initiative “ Green Sport Flag ”, which counts on the collaboration of ministries of culture and Sport and Ecological Transition. Also, within the “ sport acts ” are scheduled presentations by the government's High Commissioner of Spain for the Agenda 2030 and the Spanish Olympic Committee.

The program will be completed with three round. The first under the heading “ Good environmental practices organizing sporting events ” that will bring together representatives of Spanish federations of Surfing, Mountain sports and climbing, Motorcycling and canoeing.

The second will discuss the “ sports model in the urban Agenda ” with responsible municipal and close the day the table “ agents of sustainable development in sport ” with the participation responsible for sustainability, cooperation and integration of the COE, the university of Zaragoza, CETURSA Sierra Nevada and ATUDEM and the Superior Council of Sports.
