School Championships 2020 Autonomous Selections will be held at 20 Spanish cities
Madrid, 26 December 2019.The High Council of sports has adopted the calendar competitions school championships Autonomous Selections (CEASES) 2020 that will be held at 20 Spanish cities, five more than last year.
The competitions will be hosting STOPS in 28 sports modalities and specialities: chess, athletics track, athletics track adapted, badminton, basketball, wheelchair basketball, handball, field through, field through adapted, cycling btt, cycling en route, cycling en route adapted, climbing, downhill skiing, cross country skiing, rhythmic gymnastics, golf, judo, Olympic struggles, swimming, swimming adapted, orientation, rugby seven, snowboarding/freestyle, table tennis, triathlon, volleyball, beach volleyball.
All of them, eight will be inclusive as young people with and without disabilities participate jointly: athletics, badminton, field through, swimming, rugby VII, snowboarding/freestyle, table tennis and triathlon.
Moreover, in 2020 will be included for the first time fields that were not in the agenda of the previous year, but which are of great importance esportiva to be integrated in the Olympic schedule: golf, downhill skiing, cross-country skiing and snowboarding/freestyle.
In total, 22 federations will be part of the organization of these championships hosting different categories depending on the age of the participants: alevín-infantil, infant and young cadet. An example of the collaboration of national federations and territorial, as well as the Autonomous communities and local corporations.
The aim of the STOPS is to promote sports among the youngest and detect the talent from children. Supposed to ensure the generational change and the future of Spanish selections. Great champions have gone through them as Mireia Belmonte, Cybele Valverde or Carolina Marín are some of them.
