The Table of Sport Inclusive of CSD presents proposals for action by 2020
Madrid, 18 November 2019.The Table of sport inclusive, led by the High Council of sports (CSD), has presented a plan of action that contains various initiatives to integrate persons with disabilities in sport. This plan will be launched over the next year to achieve real and effective equality between people with and without disabilities.
The secretary of state for sport, María José Free, which has been responsible for introducing the plan, has stressed that “ these are the foundation for further development through coordinated actions aimed at achieving equality in sport, one of our priorities. ” In this sense has highlighted the importance of the outline of the law of sport to get here, “ has been a success in the evolution of the sport with disabilities, but we must continue to evolve, because we want more and more is needed. ”
The document presented today is the result of the joint work of agents of promotion and management of sports and disability, both public and private, that make up this table.
The ultimate goal is to achieve an integrated model of sport in which accommodates all persons with and without disabilities and provide the necessary support for that inclusion takes place in equal opportunities.
Initiatives that will unfold are grouped into four major groups: training, financing, policy and dissemination. Among the proposals is the training technical expertise in physical activity, sports people with disabilities and inclusive sport, as well as the update of content and teaching strategies of physical education teachers.
Also encourage research by funding projects whose priority thematic area is sport inclusive and will be the event of exceptional public interest Sports programme inclusive CSD, among other measures.
In regulation rules, will be incorporated sport inclusive the text of the new law of sport which continues to work and enhance the degree of compliance with the current legislation on accessibility and adaptability of sports facilities. It is also proposed the creation of the commission of Sport Inclusive and the increase of sports championships inclusive of Spain in school age (STOPS).
Also, be promoted the practice of physical activity and sport among persons with disabilities with initiatives such as the creation of “ Day Inclusive ”.
The Table of sport Inclusive of CSD account with the presence of athletes with disabilities, representatives of the chair of Inclusive Sport studies of the Polytechnic College of Madrid, autonomous communities, of the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces, the overall direction of policies of disability of the ministry of health, consumption and Social welfare. Also with representatives of athletes, technicians and associations linked to the sector.
Are integrated into this working group representatives of the Spanish Olympic Committee, sporting federations unideportivas and sports federations for persons with disabilities.
