The Secretary of State for Sport has continued his agenda in the municipalities of Ceutí and Ula

Murcia, July 11th. The President of the Superior Sports Council (CSD) and Secretary of State for Sport, Víctor Francos, visited on Tuesday different sports facilities located in Águilas, municipality of the Region of Murcia that was recognized with the National Sports Prize of 2021 for being the most outstanding local entity in the promotion of physical activity.

Víctor Francos has been able to know his wide range of activities during his visit to the sports center, where volleyball and football campuses and rhythmic gymnastics training, among others, are developed.

“Through sport a first level social policy is made. We are not talking about an exclusively sports policy. And one of the nice things about sport is that on the pitch we compete on equal terms,” said the president of the Superior Sports Council.

Francos has also discovered the outstanding participation of young people in the sailing courses offered by the Nautical Club, accompanied by the mayor of Águilas, María del Carmen Moreno; by the second deputy mayor and head of the Sports area, Cristóbal Casado; and by the councilor for Youth, Elena Casado.

The president of the Superior Sports Council has continued his agenda in Ceutí, with his visit to the CD José Antonio Camacho and the CD Miguel Indurain.

The Secretary of State for Sport has known the works that are already being carried out in the area to promote sports practice and tourism together with the Government delegate in the Region of Murcia, Francisco Jiménez, and the mayor of the town, Sonia Almela.

Precisely, the Official State Gazette (BOE) today publishes the call for aid to public entities owning infrastructure for the improvement and optimization of facilities and sports spaces that promote sustainable sports tourism, worth 36 million euros, from the European funds of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan.

Juan Jesús Moreno, mayor of Molino, has been interested in this line of aid during the visit of Víctor Francos to the José Soriano Chacón football stadium and the local pavilion.
