Spain achieves 5 medals at the global canoeing, which can reach six case of success the claim of the federation

Madrid, 27 August 2018.The General director of Higher Council of sports, Marian Soriano has visited this weekend the course of Montemor (Portugal) to accompany the Spanish selection of canoeing, who has completed the world championship with five medals, which may be eventually six, if the claim to flourish in the K1 5,000 metres submitted by the Spanish Federation before the canoeing International



The canoeists # Team Esp won two gold medals (Carlos Stick, in category K1 200 meters and the pair formed by Francisco Cubelos and Iñigo rock in K2 1000 meters); other two silver (one in category K4 500 metres with the team formed by Saúl Craviotto, Cristian bull, Marcus and Mar Rodrigo Germade, and the other in the class K2 200 meters with the crew formed by Saúl Craviotto and Christian Bull) and one bronze, which was to the category of K4 1,000 metres, comprising Francisco Cubelos, Rubén Millán, Slash Pelayo and Iñigo Crag.




Spain can still add its 6th medal in this world championship, since the longest distance in the sprint global (5,000 metres), the Asturian Javier Hernanz (K1) is pending resolving the claim by the Spanish delegation to the international federation of Canoeing claiming the bronze medal after coming fourth and ascend a post by the disqualification of the rival Norwegian, by skip a buoy, which was subsequently overturned.
