The task force to promote Sport (IDWG) undertakes to emerge from the crisis in the COVID-19 "with solutions on the table"

Madrid, 8 april 2020.-The high council of sports (CSD) has been host this morning, through via telematics, the first meeting of the task force to promote Sport (IDWG), with the participation of nearly 20 representatives of federations, entities and sports clubs. At this meeting, a first point of contact between all participants, had concluded that must be met out of the crisis generated by the COVID-19 "with solutions on the table, particularly on the ground, when the socio-economic health situation and the directions of the Ministry of health permit".

At the beginning of the meeting has taken the floor to the president of the council, Irene Lozano, who has thanked the participants and has explained the vocation of GERD: "Es evident that the world Post-Covid will be a different world. We have created the task force to be closer to your concerns, to learn first hand the challenges that the confinement especially in the economic realm. All that knowledge, and your help, we will serve to anticipate what it comes to the future, back, with solutions to alleviate the most devastating of this evil time", has expressed.

During the meeting have spoken each and every one of the representatives of entities, federations and clubs present to voice their concerns. They Were members of the federations of football, basketball, swimming, athletics, madeira, and motorcycle winter sports, in addition to the Spanish Sports association (ADESP), covering many other entities; also LaLiga, Association of Spanish Footballers (ERA), Olympic Committee (COE) and The Paralympic English (SCE); and Real Madrid club, FC Barcelona, Atlético de Madrid and Athletic Bilbao. In their interventions, all of them have expressed the concerns about the current situation, as well as the impact that this crisis is having in their respective organizations.

Since that first meeting, the idwg is scheduled to meet on a weekly. First on-line, and, when the situation permits, in person and the headquarters of the council For sports. The format will always be the same, with a very executive and Agile approach to the problems and solutions; and a structure that is adaptable to the circumstances with the possible participation of members of other federations, entities and other departments and ministries of government.
