The CSD doubles the aid for the national Sports Canoe and high performance centres
The budget for 2021 amounts to eur 4 million, more than double that of last year
- The objective is to support most promising spanish athletes to contribute to a proper sports education at the same time contribute to the financing of the operation and sports activities carried out by the sports federations in the high performance centres.
Madrid, 28 may 2021.-The high council of sports (CSD) would allocate eur 4 million grant Spanish Sports Federations (FFDDEE) for the national Sports Canoe (PNTD), for the operation and activities in high performance centres and Canoe, as well as for sports facilities and equipment in the year 2021.
This amount implies doubling the budgetary allocation for this purpose with regard to the convening of the past year, which for José Manuel Franco, president of the CSD, is “ historic and a test of the government's commitment to sport ”. “ with this aid is underpins sport as a lever for recovery. The purpose of each of them is, firstly, to support the most promising spanish athletes, contributing to a proper sports education leading to its path through the competition (PNTD). In addition, it wants to contribute to the financing of the operation and sports activities undertaken by the FFDDEE in classified centers by the CSD as Centres of excellence for High Performance (CEAR) of title and/or management of a federation or of an autonomous region, as well as their investments and equipment. And, finally, in enhancing the CAR of León encouraging sports programmes specialties are already developing its activity at the same, with special attention to the permanent concentrations.
